Gorgeous books
I absolutely love this series so much. The moment I saw these stunning special editions, i immediately went and read the books on kindle unlimited and knew I needed these shelf trophies. The wait was so very worth it. They’ve got their special place on my shelf and make me so happy. And I look forward to reading them for my reread once the third book comes out. Honestly these books helped me get over that Iron Flame hangover when I was waiting for the third in that series. And have made a special place in my heart all on their own.

The packaging was great, I love all the details of the book.

I will say, and it’s probably just a personal taste, but I’m not as much of a fan of the art in them, as I was hoping to be. So that’s the one bummer. I think it’s just the style of the art I don’t like, the one I’m showing kinda reminds me of Jessica Rabbit in a way and that’s not at all how I pictured our girl, and it’s sad to not see the golden marking on her that she gets from the throne in any of the pictures. But again, just my taste in art style. As well as the pages are a little on the thin side, so the full colour ones do seem to curl a little when you’re on those pages (also tried to show that). Not terrible, but noticeable.

Beautiful, but…
These are very beautiful special editions! They are exactly as pictured with vibrant beautiful colors and a foiling that shines in a way no camera can truly capture!

The only issue is the shipping. These were wrapped in bubble wrap and put inside a bag instead of a box for shipping. The edges and corners are all dinged. Had I known this was how they were shipping, I never would’ve bought them. I hope they change this in the future and start using boxes because these books deserve to be displayed in perfection.
